So you wanna know about the FPQ?

The FPQ is a GAMING & PARTYING Fan Group dedicated to having fun, and having fun while gaming, especially at MARCon.

The roots of the FPQ were established in 1989 by the first MARCon attendee in our group, Charles A. Peterson Jr. Chuck has gathered a loyal gaggle of followers every year since to attend the best sci-fi / fantasy convention in the mid-west, MARCon!

As the years passed by, our little gaming and partying group could not help but notice that something was missing from the MARCon experience... a name. This changed in May of 2000. One of our members, attending a party, got up on stage, disrobed, and began swinging his clothes around claiming: "Come on ladies, you know you can't pass up this 'Fine Polish Quality!'" And that was that, our group finally had a name, a purpose, and a direction. Thanks for your drunken, endorphin induced, dedication Kirb!

While the "FPQ" fan group name is some-what newly formed, we have been attending the con and running games, both for MarCon and privately since 1989 (and even earlier). We are dedicated to keeping the GAMING SPIRIT alive and well, especially at the Con!

FPQ tends to be mostly dedicated to the classic styles of gaming (i.e. paper and dice or board games) -- we're not too much into the LARPs (although we do have a few dedicated LARPers!). The FPQ doesn't have anything against LARPing, in fact we enjoy watching, and sometimes covertly participating in LARPs!!!

MARCon

The Mid-West's premier science fiction / fantasy convention, and the home convention for the FPQ. Conveniently located in downtown Columbus, Ohio.
