Welcome new friends, and thank you for meeting with Councilperson Sagamore. As you are aware, this independent government cannot sustain itself without a military. With the crippling of the local army, we are now that force. Now, while I enjoy a good freedom fight as much as the next altruistic mechwarrior, I realize I have a company to run. Which is why our next mission is so critical. This planet has rich deposits of Scandium. The market value of this element sustains the economy here, and our presence. If the shipment is destroyed, so are your paychecks, and a certain someone becomes dictator for life. So, keep that in mind as we defend this cargo train.

Message from Commander Moser

We suspect that Mr. Takewan may resort to desperate measures and make an all out attack on the government of Valentina IV. Our job is to make sure that never happens. We are going attempt to intercept their attack force before it reaches the city because the damage of mech combat there would be devistating. We will divide up into two squads and cover both the northern and southwest roads into the capital. Whoever is engaged, hold off as long as you can until the other side can reinforce you. With luck, we will hopefully drive back MSL Corp once and for all.

Tavaris Jefferson here. Sad news, Liv is dead. For you newcomers, Olivia Wyler-Moser founded Diamond Sabers with her husband, Stephon. We were guarding the other road, they sent a group down there too. Mostly lights, but they were led by Takewan himself in his Grand ass Dragon. One shot, and that was it. The Wyvern's head was vaporized, along with Liv. Oh, we poured it on after that and not a scrap of that Dragon is left. Takewan survived though, but agreed to leave the planet. You all know about that, so I can skip the details.

Anyway, Steph said I'm now his second and I should start helping with the dailies. So, here I am, letting you all know all this and, well, we're short on mechs. So, buy what you can. Liv's might be ready soon, and there's a Kintaro we were given as part payment, but it needs some work, which we don't have time or money right now. So, pilot it with care? We're headed over to Chapineria. Lots of work on nearby planets that nobody else seems to want to do. Man, I never thought I'd see the day when mercs became scarce, you know what I mean?

This next haul is going to suck. The good news is, when we're done, we should eradicate the rebels from this area. The bad news is, their base is deep in a mountain area which we cannot land the dropship anywhere near. So, the long way is up through entrenched infantry and missile turrets. Then we fight on a nice open plateau against whatever 'mechs they have left. Joy. Sorry boys and girls, but it's the only way.

Good job everyone in your latest endeavors. We've found a home. To be honest, I had heard rumors about this place for a while. So, apologies if I was a little insistent on taking this mission.

We have a couple of offers on the table. I think we can do both, so I will give you folks the choice. There's guard duty against a bandit group called the Falcon Maulers, or try to catch a group called Quickdraw McGraws as they make their way through a heavy forest.

Hey Moser!

Just give me the chance to prove myself to you. Sure, I was a bit ticked off about how my situation came to be. I think anybody in that position would be hard to accomidate, at least for a while. What I'm saying to you is, please pass my name along to the Mechwarrior Commission Association for consideration in advancement. I think I have proven myself valuable to the Diamond Sabres in the last two sorties, and will continue to do so for DS and you, Commander.

That being said, sir, I am without a mech. I used all of my savings to purchase the Griffon. Now, most definitely, our sniper is using this mech efficiently and to great effect. Please consider purchasing an upgrade to my current ride, or giving me a loan so I can visit the mech sellers and get something that is good for our team, and your corporation.

Jefferson here. The Falcon Maulers are a mech team of, I believe, Maulers and Falcons. Funny, huh.

As for giving your Griffin up, which someone traded to you, that's your own problem Hansen. Go bug that guy, not us.
